Login at motigo with your username and password

Create guestbook

Look for the guestbooks section in your account overview and click on “Create a new guestbook”.

Choose a name for your guestbook and click on “Create guestbook”

You will find your new guestbook in the guestbook list on the left of the admin page:

Customize guestbook

Please go to the guestbooks’ admin page. To get there, just click on “guestbooks” on your account overview. Click on the guestbook you want to edit on the guestbook buttons on the left of the admin page. Using the options in the pulldown menu you can customize your guestbook:

"General Settings": Here you can decide about the structure of your guestbook, which information you want to have from your visitors or set your guestbook on a moderated status (so that messages will be first reviewed by you and then published).

If you decide to have a moderated guestbook, please look for new messages to be approved in “Message activation”. Use the option icons to either activate or delete the message. After you have activated the message, it will be shown in your guestbook.

"Manage messages": Here you can edit or delete messages which are already published. Click the tool icon to edit or the minus icon to delete a message.

In „Select layout“ and „Customize Layout“ you can give your guestbook the look you like. The guestbook’s layout is totally customizable, so that you can you choose and adapt colours, font sizes, background and much more

"Icons"/Smilies": Here you can upload your own images for the guestbook.

Use the option "HTML Areas" to personalize your guestbook even more. Your guestbook has two HTML areas (on top and bottom of the page) where you can use html code, insert links, banners, objects, etc.

"Ban words": Determine which words are not allowed in your guestbook.

"Email notifications": Here you can write a text which will be sent to your users after they've written a message. You can also write a text that will be sent to you if there are new messages on your guestbook.

Get greetings from your visitors

You will find the url of your guestbook in the guestbooks admin page (to get there, just click on “guestbooks” on your account overview).

Jut use this URL to link your website to the guestbook and you can start receiving greetings from your visitors.

Your motigo guestbook is totally customizable and gives you many options to decide about its look and using possibilities.
